Books

Deployed, accountant testing · Aug 2026

A bookkeeping workspace for a multi-outlet business, built from the spreadsheets it already keeps.

Books gives a multi-outlet business a usable set of accounts without a big system: profit and loss, ledgers, trial balance, bank matching, bills and invoices, money owed and owing, and basic GST and TDS accounting. It does not file returns; it gets the books into a state an accountant can work with.

Who it is for

The accountant and the owner of a small multi-outlet business, and the branch staff who enter the day.

What it does

  • Profit and loss, ledgers and trial balance.
  • Bank statement matching.
  • Bills, invoices, receivables and payables.
  • Basic GST and TDS accounting (no filing).
  • Branch logins for daily entry; sales pulled in where an integration exists.

How it works

  1. Start from the existing expense and daily-sales sheets.
  2. Record the day: sales, bills, payments.
  3. Match the bank, review the ledgers, hand the accountant a clean trial balance.

Where it stands

Deployed in August 2026 as an accountant-testing release for Platform 65. Not available to outside businesses yet.
